Former SRC President, Terrick Torgbor Selected for Sahara Group’s Maiden Graduate Trainee Program 2022
Former SRC President and UPSA student, Terrick Nii Obodai Torgbor, has been selected into the Sahara Group 2022 Graduate Management Trainee (GMT) Program.
The program is a 9-month externship aimed at giving young graduates in Ghana an opportunity to make a difference in the oil and gas sector.
The maiden Sahara Group GMT program was opened to tertiary graduates from Ghana’s 16 regions.
Terrick, a former SRC President, earned a place in the programme after a rigorous selection process which saw about 2700 applications.
With a focus on Sahara’s downstream operations in Ghana, the GMT program will offer successful applicants an opportunity to “upgrade their unique skills and ensure exposure to top-level responsibility early in their careers,” said Yvette Selormey, Managing Director, Sahara Downstream in Ghana.
“Sahara Group is renowned for transforming young talent into global icons in the energy sector and this is a platform specially designed for every young graduate in Ghana seeking to learn and grow within a work culture that encourages and rewards excellence,” she said.
The graduate trainees, with various degrees in relevant disciplines, will be given a secure shot at kick-starting their careers with world-class training modules, mentorship, and self-driven goals, the leading energy and infrastructure conglomerate announced.
The programme, which has already started, is scheduled to end in April 2023.
